His Excellency Dr. Adel Zaid Altoraifi (1979) is the chairman of Conrad Holding Ltd and Manging Director of Castlereagh Associates Consultancy, based in London  UK. Dr. Altoraifi is a board member of the General Authority for Culture in Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Research and Marketing Group.


Dr Altoraifi is a former cabinet minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was appointed as Culture Minster in 2015, as well as a member of the Economics and Development Affairs Council, where he participated in the development of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision under the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Al Saud, the 2020 National Transformation Plan and chaired the media campaign to promote these programmes. Moreover, Dr Altoraifi chaired the media committee for the 2016 and 2017 government budget announcements. In addition, he was appointed as a member of the Security and Political Affairs Council.

Career

Dr Altoraifi has studied in the UK, MSc at Kingston University of London with first class distinction, MPhil from the LSE, PhD in Philosophy from the London School of Economics, Financial courses from the London Business School and carried out work experience in the UK as the Editor-in-chief Asharq Alawsat Newspaper and Al Majalla Magazine based in London considered the largest publication in the Middle East (printed in 12 capitals and produced in four languages).

On the 27th of November, our Managing Director, Dr. Adel Al Toraifi took part in the 2018 Berlin Foreign Policy Forum organised by the Koerber Stiftung. The debate also included participants such as Iran’s former nuclear negotiator Hossein Moussvian and Germany’s Federal Foreign Office’s Director-General for the Middle East, Philipp Ackermann. The talk was moderated by the FT’s Deputy Director, Roula Khalaf.
